FPC-1

Single-sided flex
Material: PI, Copper thickness: Hoz; Board thickness: 0.1mm;
Min trace width/space: 4/4mil; Min hole size: 0.3mm;
Surface finish: ENIG + Gold connectors(30u" Au)

Single-Sided Flexible Circuits have the base layer (Polyimide) and a single copper conductor. Fabrication specifications can be modified or tailored to your   requirements. Single-sided flexible circuits maintain a small profile and great conformability so are excellent for installations or in very small spaces. If you want to optimize your space, a single-sided flexible circuit could be your right choice.
Application: CD-ROM pick-up; CDRW; LCD; Printer...

FPC-5
Double-sided flex
Material: PI, Copper thickness: Hoz; Board thickness: 0.1mm; Min trace width/space: 4/4mil;
Min hole size: 0.3mm; Surface finish: Immersion Gold

Double-sided flexible circuits have a different structure, making them more rigid and for use in applications where a single-sided flexible circuits design does not   provide the necessary circuit density and layout. The double-sided flexible circuits features the base layer as a core between two adhered copper conducters.
Application: Mobile Phone; CD-ROM; LCD Module...

FPC-3

6 layer multilayer flex
Material: PI, Copper thickness: Hoz; Board thickness: 0.1mm; Min trace width/space: 4/4mil;
Min hole size: 0.3mm;
Surface finish: ENIG + Gold connectors(30u" Au)

Flexible circuits with four or more layers are formed which requires the flexibility of the hinge part of folder-type mobile phones. It increases the degree of circuit integration by laminating the single-layer base into one bonding sheets or more. It also minimizes a physical stress between layers by eliminating the bonding sheet of the folding part.
Application: Mobile Phone...

Q: Why FPC? What advantage does a flex printed circuit have comparied with rigid PCB?

A: FPC advantages & benefits:

  • Replicability--Flexible circuits are customized specifically for fixed connection point, the production of products and customer installation operations have repeatability, reproducibility, it is easy to install and reduce the cost of installation errors etc.
  • Space and Weight Saving--Contrast to the same design of the PCB or wiring harness applications, can save up to 60% of the weight and space for the end products more closely, lightweight and clean the inner connection scheme.
  • Anti-Vibration--The flexibility and decreased weight allows the flex circuit to absorb and reduce impact of the vibration to itself as well as any joints associated in connection.
  • Bending Cycles--FPC's own soft performance of the overall circuit three-dimensional design may reduce the unnecessary costs within the connection, while the number of bending up to 200 thousands to cycles with standard materials.
  • Harsh environments--Flexible circuit materials and design with waterproof moisture-proof, shock proof oil, high temperature corrosion-resistant properties, suitable for harsh operating environment.
